Go Back to School- COMPLETED

This was a very important list item for me. I havent taken any classes since Ronelyse has been born. It's so easy to get "busy" with all the other things in life but I set a goal and I want to accomplish it, I dont care how long it takes, as long as it gets done. The reason going to college and getting my degree is so important to me, is because there has been no one on either side of my family, that has their college degree. Im talking out of 200+ family members, I want to be the first!!! This is for me and all of my family, past, present, and future!!!!! I took 2 classes this Summer and have 3 to take in the Fall and I will have my Associates Degree. Then I will get to "walk" my first stage EVER in May!!

Go Tailgating- COMPLETED

Oh wow....tailgating was so much fun. A group of us and 20 of our closest friends decided to go to the Texas Rangers baseball game on Father's Day. We met in the parking lot 2 hours before game time, enjoyed some food, drinks, and great friends. We had so much fun that we considered skipping the game to continue tailgating. Enjoying this list item on Father's Day couldnt have been more perfect!!!!

Have a Slumber Party- COMPLETED

This weekend I had a last minute slumber party with some of my close friends...It was a total blast. We all brought our favorite junk food, we played Twister and Chardes, had a Pajama Contest, painted our nails, and shared stories. It was a fun experience, it had been years since any of us had done something like it and it was great sharing it with such a fun group of girls. Who said slumber parties only have to be for little girls...

Shoot a Gun- COMPLETED

I must say...this was super scary at the beginning, but after I fired my first shot, I wanted to keep going. We did it at Uncle David's ranch, he set up a target with a target sheet, then he set up 3 bottles with water to shoot at. It was me and Danny's first time ever, Mom had done it before while hunting with Dad, and of course Devin was the experienced one with his military background. We shot two 38 caliber revolvers, one of which was one of my Dad's old guns, so that had extra special meaning, I got to shoot one of his guns!!! This was a fun experience, crazy to hold something in your hands that is so dangerous and life threatening....

Participate in The Relay for Life Cancer Walk- COMPLETED

Although this wasnt something I did for the first time, I wanted to make sure that I did one this year!!! We decided to do it in the Valley this year so that our family members could be a part of it. The walk ended up being on Dad's actual birthdate, so we got to celebrate his 66th birthday that night!! It is such an experience to walk all night (from 6:30pm-6:30am) for the people who have lost their battle to cancer, for those that are still fighting, for the survivors, and for those who could possibly be effected in their future. Cancer is such an awful disease that effects young and old and is life changing for so many people. Dad lost his battle in after just 8 months of being diagnosed and had an 80% survival rate, you never know who will be effected and what the outcome will be. I just want him to know that I am helping them Fight to find a Cure!!! Every year I walk its for him, he had such strength, he was never afraid of it, and fought the disease hard, all with a smile on his face. We also walked in honor of our other friends and family that have been effected by Cancer....the disease NEVER sleeps, and the night of the Relay, neither did we!

Run a 5k- Completed

Last night we got to participated in the Firefly 5k Run. It was at night so everyone was decked out in light up, glow in the dark, neon, & crazy costumes. Most 5k's are ran early morning so this was so much fun, running in the dark and the only lights were every ones costumes & accessories. There were over 7000 runners, we saw children as young as 4yrs old and adults in their 70's running. All proceeds were donated to Children's Medical Center. Happy to say that our group ran the entire thing. Glad that Devin and the girls ran it with me as well as Vanessa, Nicole, & Carly. I am definitely going to try to run one every year!
